UL Certification Process
- Preliminary preparation and application: The company determines the UL standard applicable to the product, prepares detailed technical information, such as drawings, specifications, bill of materials (BOM), instructions, etc., contacts UL or an authorized agent, submits a formal application and pays an advance payment.
- Product Testing and Evaluation: UL engineers review technical documents, and manufacturers provide test samples to UL laboratories. The laboratories conduct comprehensive tests based on relevant UL standards, including core projects such as electrical safety tests, mechanical safety tests, fire retardant tests, and energy hazard tests.
